Our Teams
Llangwm Lions currently runs teams from U6 up to U15. The teams are run by our amazing volunteer coaches (normally a volunteered parent!)
Under 6's
2025/2026 season is the first season in 4 years we will not have this age group. If you are interested in Coaching a new team or have a child wanting to play, please get in touch.
Under 7's
Our team of U7's are entering their second year of mini football. At U7 level we start to introduce concepts around positions, movement on and off the ball and communication. Played in a 4 v 4 format with open goals, the scoring comes thick and fast!
Under 9's
Under 9's is played with the same format as under 8's but with players becoming more aware of the game and developing physically this is really entertaining football.
Under 8's
Our under 8's teams now face the challenge of playing with a goalkeeper on a bigger pitch and with longer playing periods. Played in the 5 v 5 format this level really tests players in how to use space on the field, how to work with a goalkeeper and the importance of communication. It is a big step up from U7's where these lads excelled last year.
Under 11's
U11's is played 7 v 7, it is that last stage before going up to 9 v 9, allowing players to develop their positions an skills. At this age players are finding which role suits them best on the field.
Under 15's
Playing 11 asides on full size pitches with Referees, this is the competitive grassroots football as these players edge closer to senior level football.
